The Sandy Spring Athletic Association (SSAA) is a 503 (c)(3) non-profit organization* that was established in 2012 to provide youth in the Ashton-Olney-Sandy Spring area to participate in athletics both physically and emotionally while helping them to build self-esteem and cultivate a lifelong interest in sports, health, and teamwork by exposing the virtues of character, integrity, and sportsmanship. The SSAA currently offers local youth the opportunity to participate in football, lacrosse, and baseball across multiple seasons throughout the year.
At the SSAA we strongly believe in our community. We are committed to creating a positive experience not only for our athletes, but for the families as well. For us success is defined by commitment, passion, and effort, not necessarily by wins. We feel it is important to teach our athletes the proper way to play the game while having fun and creating lasting memories.
Even though we have only been in existence a short time, we have experienced a great deal of success and continue to build our program. Currently, we have over 300 families participating in our programs year round. Despite the success, we have realized running a sports organization can be challenging financially. The cost to provide insurance, uniforms, and equipment for our athletes, and cover the cost of league fees, field rentals and referees can be quite expensive and grows each year. Additionally, long term we aspire to own our own facilities. Without financial assistance, these rising costs must be passed on to our member families.
In order to offset these costs and to keep our fees reasonable we are seeking corporate sponsors will to support our mission through their generosity. On behalf of the Board of Directors of the SSAA, we would like to take this opportunity to invite you to become a part of our growing community. Your 100% tax deductible donation will help us provide families and youth in our area a truly memorable athletic experience. We ask support us at the following levels:
Bronze Level ($300-$1,000) will be acknowledged on our SSAA Facebook Page.
Silver Level ($1,001-$2,499) will be acknowledged in our Seasonal Newsletter, on the SSAA Facebook Page, and on the sponsor page of the SSAA Website.
Gold Level (over $2,500) will be acknowledged in our Seasonal Newsletter, the SSAA Facebook Page, on the sponsor page of the SSAA Website, and on the Main Page on our website.
